VOICE clinicians and researchers are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of individuals suffering from chronic pelvic pain. After near-infrared photobiomodulation was shown to be beneficial for other types of chronic pain (neck, back, and other muscle pain), our scientists hypothesized that it may also help chronic pelvic pain. When initial preliminary studies showed positive results and minimal risks, researchers developed VOICE as a randomized clinical trial to definitively test the efficacy of near-infrared photobiomodulation compared to sham for the treatment of chronic pelvic pain.
